Steamboat, CO
December 16th to 20th
Also planned by Melissa is the trip to Steamboat, Colorado for 4 nights:
Dec 16-20. Old MSU OC friend, Jeff Diem, has moved out to Denver and let us know about this sweet offer - only $250! This is a great price for the location! You would be staying in a condo and for the cost, get 3 lift tickets. Other costs include gas to get there (unless you want to fly), food and possibly a hotel. The drive will take 20 hours and would be carpools of course. Colorado is pretty hard-core, so consider your options.
Beginners may want to opt for Boyne, whereas others may not. If this trip sounds like something you would like to do, contact Melissa SOON - she would like to book this EARLY!!!

Crawl-a-Thon
January 25th to 27th
Its a great weekend of spelunking and caving around.
This is a great place for people of all different levels of expertise. So even if youve never caved before dont worry anyone interested is welcome to come! If your interested its important you signup through their website: www.crawlathon.com (sign up for 2008 will start Dec. 15th) its a good idea to look at the 2007 website to get a good idea of different spelunking cave experiences! The Oc recommends Levels 2 and 3 (Level 4 requires specific equipment and could result in a bad time) Also we dont recommend choosing Up for dummies, Down for dummies or Corrugated Cave those were seen as a waste of time and no fun!
Dont forget to sign up, and GET EXCITED! Carpools will be arranged sooner to the date. Also you will need to bring helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, headlamps, and clothes you wont mind throwing away after this. (These items (minus the clothes) can all be conveniently rented from the club!!
isnt our club just soo amazing!!

Mad Moose Lodge
January or Febuary
Natalie's planning an ice climbing trip up to the Mad Moose sometime Jan or Feb, still not sure but get excited. Not sure about cost, but should be somewhere between $100 and $150. If you've never been to the lodge, its great. Theres homemade cooking, ice climbing, nice cabins, and great
equipment deals. It's a must for any OCer. You can go one of two ways - cabin or tent. Personally, I'd recommend the cabin, seeing as it might be a tad chilly in January.
